Triumph TR6 - Window rattle
Hey all I have checked the threads and did not find anything like this. When I shut my doors the windows rattle. Bugs me. I found a link that I found helpful. Let me know if there is a problem. http://tr6.danielsonfamily.org/WindowChannel.htm Gord

Gordon, It is probably the run channels, mine rattles a bit, but not as bad as a lot of 'em. Cheap & lazy way to fix: leave your windows rolled up about 1 inch.... :) I usually leave mine up that much so the outer weatherstrip doesn't get folded over, and it keeps sweaty arms off my paint. Found out by doing this the windows hardly rattled at all, even with the new glass runs in the channels! I'm sure it would make a huge difference doing all the stuff they show on the Danielson site....but I already had mine togetther by the time I saw that, and I'm not wanting to go back in there that bad! New glass runs glued in a nicely cleaned channel with 3M weathrestrip cement suit me fine. Rod

Gord I always thought the biggest source of rattle was from the door latch control arm. It needs more felt behind it so it does not rattle against the door inner frame. Rick
