Triumph TR6 - Wind screen Aluminum Cap
Has anyone removed and relaced the aluminum cap on the wind screen? Looks like it is pop riveted on. I am in the process of scoping out what I need to do and am trying to avoid any mistakes. Thanks in advance. Shawn 74.5

Shawn, I've done half of that...removed the thing so that I could strip the windscreen frame. Done that, but have not yet replaced the cap. Mine's a mite worn so I'm waiting until I put everything back together to see if my budget will tolerate a new cap. It appears to be straight forward, as you say, pop riveted in. One word of advice. If you remove it either put in back right away or secure somewhere so that it does not get bent. It seems rather fragile. Mine's on the very top shelf of my parts storage awaiting re installing. db

I did mine and it took 3 from TRF before 1 arrived straight. Rivets

Hi Shawn I drilled out the rivets, had the windscreen frame painted and then riveted the cap back on. No problem pretty straight forward. I reused my original so I can't comment on purchasing one although it sounds like Don has had some bad luck.

Thanks for the feedback. Will have to see how this goes. Shawn
