Triumph TR6 - Walnut or mahogany dashboard
| I read the Moss catalogue and found with interest their claim that only TR5/250 had a mahogany dash and that all TR6s had walnut. My 1971 has an original mahogany dash. Has anybody else found this doing a restoration? I would prefer to put walnut in but I am fussy on originality. As you can see by the # of threads posted, I am doing a lot of work to get this vehicle on the road after sitting for 19 years.(the car not me) John B |

| I read that all TR6's were built with walnut dashes. I know many less expensive replacement dashes are made of solid mahogany. I pulled a broken one of those out of my car and replaced it with a hand made walnut veneer dash. All of the original dashes were a wood veneer on top of plywood. You have a very unique dash if it's original. I personally like the look of walnut. Good luck Henry |
