Triumph TR6 - Turn Signal switch
My turn signal switch doesn't cancel and I'm unfamiliar with it's construction. Mine has two "legs", top and bottom (left & right) that pivot at about their middle. Each has a small drilled hole close to the pivot point. The repair manual has a poor picture that looks as if there should be a metal probe that couples the two legs and provides a trigger that rides the steering shaft cam. Yes? No? I thank you for your comments

Kryan, yes there is a cam on the steering cloumn that triggers the return of the signal light switch to the centre position. Go to the Roadster Factory's sight they will have a good drawing of what you are looking for. Moss might have it also. Rob

Thanks for your advice, Rob. I expected to see an arm connecting the two "legs" but the drawing didn't show one, so, realizing that car manufactures don't drill unecessary holes, I cobbled up a small spring to connect the two legs and voila! It worked. Now we'll see how long the spring holds up. Whoever owned this car, repaired very little. Just drove it Thanks again, Kyran

My car was the same way. Somewhere around '85, my car was banged up and someone spent over 6K on paint and body, but never did finish it properly. When I got it, it had a tiny little rad and electric fan hung with bungee cords from the front valance support rods and universal rad hoses. It worked though. Rob

Thanks for the laugh....That beats anything I've seen, in fact, I think bungee beats duct tape. :-)
