Silver powder coat. Looks great. Think Doug is into the clear thing. He came up with that idea a little late to help me . Geez Doug, Thanks

Hi Don, I would like to have them powder coated but have ruled that out whereas I am short on time. Thought painting them would at least clean up the appearance. Shawn 74.5

Shawn ,the biggest problem with painting them is cleaning or blastin. After that it is pretty much a any thing goes. If they are not clean they will not stay nice.

Shawn, If you cannot get them powder coated, which I think is the best option and replace all the rubber etc. of course, the next best bet for my money would be to clean them really well as Don says and "paint" with Eastwood's clear coating. Use a metal ready prep or something like that after you clean them down to the metal. You may be able to wire brush them clean, but bead blasting would be best to really clean them, then use the metal ready to make very sure you get all the sand or grit off. Another option is POR 15 Silver. It approximates the aluminum color and is great protection against corrosion and chipping. Good luck. Email me direct and I'll share some examples of PC and POR as well as Eastwood argent silver paint. db
