Triumph TR6 - TR250 rear deck join

I have my TR 250 in the paint shop for a bare metal respray. On the rear deck/inner wing are two joins, one in line with the boot/trunk and the other in line with the rear of cabin. My question is, was the join at rear of cab originally filled and painted. Photos I have seen show both, some only one, some both filled. Car was imported from USA. [San Diego student pass found in cab.] Regards Ron.
