Triumph TR6 - Tire Pressure

I recently installed Yoko TRZ 205/15 tires and am interested in what other TR6 owners prefer to run their tires at for inflation. Mine are at 29lbs rear and 25lbs front.

Hi Shawn

I have exactly the same tires - they have an asymetrical tread that looks quite sharp. I ran about 2 psi above the handbook spec for the original bias ply tires - i.e. 26 rear and 22 front. I might try them with another 2 psi this year to see how they feel.

Not long until spring although still lots of snow here on the fields.

In case you think I have an early pre-production model, that should be 75 TR6!

Hello,

I ride with 26 front & 28 rear without any problem.

You must remember that early radial like X or XAS were always low in pressure. With material improvement the modern tires are inflated a higher pressure.

Cheers,

JGC, Barry,
Thanks for the feedback. I am running around the same pressure as you. I just took mine out yesterday for the first time this season after an overhaul of the entire front end. Rides and steers much better than prior! Also, the tires are great and have improved the car over the former redlines that it came with.
