Triumph TR6 - Steering Wheel Wrap

Has anyone purchased a leather steering wheel wrap/cover recently. I called the Big 3 and looked all over the internet with no luck. Superior makes one, sold at Pepboys and on Amazon, but the diameter is too big. Any ideas?

Some years ago, when I was faced with a steering wheel that had become too smooth, I wrapped it with a long leather boot lace in an open spiral fashion. It has done the job of providing friction to this day --without taking up precious space between the bottom of the wheel and me. Perhaps, this would fit your needs?
