Triumph TR6 - Sills

Quick question here guys. Forgive my ignorance here but how are the end caps held onto the sills?

thanks in advance

I;m not sure of how they are suppose to be but an idea is use welding adhesive. and don't forget to seal the inside.

The original sills had the end caps welded inside the of them. I welded mine in when I replaced both sills.

Henry is correct,
My orginal end caps were spot welded in, on the new caps, I am drilling a series of holes in the cap flange and plug welding them in. They never fit perfectly, I suspect factory "wrapped" the outer sill around them and welded them on before installing the A+B pillars, etc..
