Triumph TR6 - Rear lifting point
Gentlemen, Where is the best location to lift the rear of the TR250 with a floor or trolley jack. Regards, Ron.

Depends on how high I need to lift it, if it just a quick and dirty I run the jack pad under the diff and lift away. If I need to go higher* I've used two approaches, one is jack at the frame ahead of the rear trailing arm to the lowest height I can get a stand under, switch to the other side, lift higher an get a stand under set a a higher height and then go back to the first side and even things up. The other was under the diff, get low height stnads on both sides and then switch sides raising the car one side at a time. My new favorite way if I really need to go higher is to just put it on the lift (beats crawiling around on the floor), but the jack and stand/side to side bit was how I used to do it all the time and on occasion for some specific tasks still do.

Hello Ron, I agree on the dif then the jack stands. I think the 250 would be like the 6...If you want to lift the whole car off the ground, start with the front then do the back. Nice to hear from someone down under. Rick
