Triumph TR6 - Pressure Washer Soda Blasting
| Guys, I finally relented to much pressure (no pun intended) and purchased a gas powered pressure washer to handle deck/fence/driveway/etc cleaning. In the process of choosing a product (Dewalt 3800 psi, 4GPM), I became aware of a offshoot of the burgeoning soda blasting industry that has developed and marketed an attachment for pressure washers that permits using the power of the pressurized water stream, introducing the abrasive soda at the nozzle and walla, a neat (and cheap) way to strip your LBC down to clean metal for restoration. Since it's wet, it has NO dust and CaCO4 is water soluable and biodegradable (actually good for the environment) so you just have to capture whatever's removed from the car and that should not be too difficult to trap in a permealable canvas tarp of some sort. Anyone have any experience/knowledge/thoughts/comments/etc.?? db |
