Triumph TR6 - Overdrive Badging & TRF
| This may be known trivia to most but just in case it helps someone I offer the following: From CF27000 forward Triumph stopped using the Overdrive apron style badge on overdrive equipped cars. The OD badge was held in place by the Triumph name badge. The Triumph name badge was moved to the lower centre section of the rear bumper and made of plastic. All cars with overdrive from then on were not badged as having overdrive. Ken PS I had been trying (elsewhere) for months to buy an overdrive badge for my 76 (since overdrive had been added) to no avail. TRF gave me the above explanation when I tried them. BTW, they mentioned that their Catalog (The TR250 & TR6 Glove Box Companion 2007) was no longer in print -website accessible only. They also advised that there are engineering drawings (exploded views in detail) had been added to their site. FWIW |

| Ken and all, there's a copy of TRF's VOL II on CD2. Rick and I are working on getting an electronic copy of VOL I. Will advise if successful. Meanwhile, go to TRF's website for drawing and exploded views of practically any and all parts of the TR-250 and TR-6. the ONLY item not exploded that I have found is the guts of the heater box. db |
