Triumph TR6 - Oil pressure gauge line

Hey guys,

When I purchased my car the oil pressure line was damaged. I am attempting to replace the line locally. Has anybody managed to remove the fitting from the gauge end and re-insert inside a new line? The fitting is pressed inside the line and the connector nut sits over top.

I tried it....ended up ordering a new line from TRF. the line is probably heated to slide onto the fitting, and I just couldn't make it work. Seems the line didn't cost much, and it saved some grief from trying to get something to fit locally.
