Triumph TR6 - New Tonneu install questions

Hi there

Well I have a new Tonneu cover, snaps and snap tool and I'm getting ready to install it. I just wanted to know if anybody out there has done this before and do you have any words of advice to share. It seems easy enough but I'm sure that there's an easy way and hard way to do it and left to my own devices I know which way I would end up going. Any advice would be appreciated. By the way I have a '74 TR6 with about 76k miles and pretty much stock.

Thanks

Hi Tom,
I'd let it sit in the sun for 20 mins then install it outside..they are more pliable in the heat and will stretch a bit. That's how I repaired mine..it was too short length ways and I added a strip behind the seats and it turned out well, though the wife claims I've ruined her sewing machine ! jeez !

HI Charlie

Thanks for the input. It could be worse... she could have used that as an excuse to get a new one.

Does anyone know if you have to use the same tool to install the black plastic dome fasteners like you do the metal ones?
Thanks
