Triumph TR6 - Limited slip differential
Hello Gents, I am curious to know if anyone out there has experience with the limited slip conversion modules offered on ebay etc. Here is a link... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEON-RX-7-TRIUMPH-MR2-FFD-LIMITED-SLIP-DIFFERENTIAL-LSD_W0QQitemZ110274131502QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item110274131502&_trkparms=39%3A1%7C65%3A1&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245.l1318 My differential is out and I thought this might be the time to install such a unit. I am not looking to auto cross the car but only to occasionally have it out in the summer rain. I understand this does improve road holding and cornering as well as reduces wheel slip. What is the longevity and real world performance for these kits? Rob

I'm not familiar with that kit. What I have done is replaced mine with a Goodparts Nissan 300zx diff. Pretty tough and very reliable diffs. http://www.goodparts.com/shop/index.php?categoryID=16

Thanks Don... I hate to waste time and money on anything... especially my TR6 which seems to have used up a disproportionate amount of both rare commodities over the past few years. I did have difficulties understanding how it could effectively transfer torque loads... perhaps the answer is simple... it can't. Thanks again, Rob

Here is the vendor website.... http://www.ffdynamics.com/products_lsd.htm This is just another internet scam albeit a better implementation than the good 'ole "electric supercharger kits"...
