Triumph TR6 - Laycock pressure plate - which friction disk?
| After reading Brent Kiser's treatise on the wonders of the original TR6 Laycock pressure plate, I managed to purchase a NOS Laycock unit. Unfortunately, this does not come with a Laycock friction disk which I understand is no longer available. My question is this? Can I use either a Borg and Beck or a LUK friction disk with the Laycock pressure plate, or is there another friction disk that I should be using instead? Does anyone on the BBS have experience with mixing and matching Laycock pressure plates with other friction disks? Thanks so much in advance, Brian 1973 TR6 Winnipeg |

| I would check the dimensions of each and compare them. Also check that the splines are the same. My own intuition tells me that it show do, providing it's for the model of TR you have. Don Elliott, 1958 TR3A |
