Triumph TR6 - It's Mitty Time

This weekend is the 2011 Walter Mitty Challenge at Road Atlanta. This year the featured marque is Mazda with Jim Downing (long time Mazda racer, car developer, HANS device developer, local dude) as Grand Marshall. I was somewhat surprised that some of the old Mazda race cars in the area were not out there, but finally saw a Cosmo 110s in real life.

And now an announcement from the "You heard it here first" (well, you might have heard it here first)department.

Rumor Central has it that for the 2012 Mitty there will be no featured marque, but that it highlight British cars and that none other than one R. W. Kastner will be Grand Marshall. Make your plans now so you can meet up with a major figure in the heritage of racing Triumphs.

I want to get the car down that way and also take a trip on the Blue Ridge Highway. Maybe that will be the excuse to do it.
