Triumph TR6 - Is it True?

Well Spring is here and its time to air the garage. I found lots of stored Acorns etc amongst the carpets that I have in the loft area, pesky chipmonks!

Anyway is it true that the mighty 2.5 litre 6 cylinder heartbeat of TR6 is based on a tractor engine and that we could probably gets common parts such as filters from the local petting zoo (John Deere Shop)?

No , the TR3 ,early four engine is based on a tractor.

Hello,

It was Triumph the builder of some Massey tractor. Conform to that britton mentality of economy, they fit a Triumph 2L on tractors. Same motor developped for Vanguard and later used in TR2.
