Triumph TR6 - Ignition Light

My ingntion light stays on until you rev engine to approx 1800rpms. After that it stays off. I have cleaned the battery terminals, and put needed water in the battery. Still no change although I only drove for a short bit. Next tightened the fan belt some and light now stays on until you rev up to approx 3ooo or so rpms. I have removed the alt and have a shop looking at it and expect to get it back soon. Anyone experience this or have any suggestions. I tend to think because the light does go off that it is the alt....Shawn 74.5

Hello Shawn,

I have in ming worn brush(carbon) as voltage regulator is electronic if I remember well.
