Triumph TR6 - Heater Ground
Hi guys. Would some kind soul help me out a bit here. Dan Masters' Electrical Maintenance Handbook, page 77 shows that the heater motor is grounded to the chassis. He has a GREEN power wire running from the ignition switch to the heater switch and then a low speed, Geen/Brown and a high speed, Green/Yellow wires to the heater switch from the motor. TRF's VOL II (Green Book), Plate ET, page 330 shows a ground wire exiting the heater box. When I disassembled my heater (a lifetime ago, now it seems), there was a third wire grounded to the steering column. So when I reassemble my heater motor etc. into the box, do I run the external grounding wire from the negative side of the heater motor out of the box and ground it somewhere OR somehow attach it inside the box??? db

Mine went to the Dash somewhere,,well..., it's grounded somewhere. That one to the column is PO installed.

Don, Thanks much. Appreciated the call. Good to talk to you. I'll find a solid ground somewhere close where the wire will be out of the way. The console sounds like a great choice. Scotch was great tonight. Rod would have loved it!! db
