Triumph TR6 - Headlight wire size

I think I finally chased down my problem with my lights. My high beams worked but not my low beams. I found I had no continuity going from the DIP switch to the connection at the driver side headlight bulb. I took a long wire and made the connections and then there was light!

I'm going to replace the blue/red (UR) wire, so what gauge is it and where can you buy it? I'm sure it's in Dan Master's book but I must have missed it. I know I could pick up the right size but it wouldn't have the right colors; Lord knows I've done enough to be considered a DPO.

Mark, Just send Dan or Mike a note and tell them what you need. Dan may tell you to run the circuit through a relay, but he can supply the correctly colored wire, albeit, likely a gage larger than stock.

Or just go to any automotive parts store..they stock wire on rolls or you can buy by the foot what you need.
They'll have the gauge you need.take a sample piece with you.
Try and use the original wire where it is seen and use the "NEW" wire under the wrapping.
