Triumph TR6 - Haha one thing fix, another stops working-gauges

hey guys, im going to be posting here a lot I think, I got the lights working, but the overnight the fuel guage and temp guage stopped working. The car seems to be running sluggish meaning when im in 1st and and start off, the cars bogs down then goes up. Now I know on carberated cars its usually due to the fuel filter. Whats are you feelings?(by a manual as we speak)

Fuel gauge/temp gauge = voltage stabilizer on the back of the speedo...make sure you hooked it back up if you messed around behind the speedometer.

For sure check the stabilizer connections and function as JT says. Check the fuse as well for the temp and fuel gauge.

I assume you are running the car warm and you get this hesitation? Mine does it when cold and I have the choke off or close to off. I believe that is typical of the side draft carbs

But if it is happening when the engine is warm could be your carb dash pots don't have the right weight oil (or not enough oil) or the carb diaphram is leaking. (this allows the fuel needle to raise too quickly and you lose vacuum and fuel to the combustion chambers.)

I don't think it is a fuel filter. I think that shows up more when you are driving at high speed- it can't supply enough fuel to the carbs.
