Triumph TR6 - Green rad hoses
My 75 TR6 has green rad hoses and I have read somewhere that this is an original feature. Other than colour, is there anything special about the green hoses? What is current opinion about replacemnet options - i.e. green versus black? I will be removing the rad sometime soon to have a replacement neck installed so would take the opportunity to install new hoses at this time. With thanks in advance. Barry

This, along with the bumble bee striped ignition wires were just to dress up the engine a bit, make it stand out from the competition. I think TRF sells green hoses if you want to go that route again.............

Barry The green hoses where fitted from '70 up to the end of the '71 ( from CC50001 to CC750001)....however the lower rad hose stayed green up to end of '73. The only difference in hoses today is colour and price...green more expensive. So your choice. If you are going to go to black, I would be interested in your green hoses if still OK. Rick

Thanks guys. Rick, interesting that my 75 has the green hoses - must have been an overenthusiastic PO. You are welcome to these hoses once removed - this may wait until spring now since I don't store the car at home and will want to put it away before the bad weather. Regards, Barry
