Triumph TR6 - Garage Floor Mat
| Guys (and gals if applicable) Making that comment about DWS's floor reminded me that a forum member who occasionally visits that other site, British Car Forum and who shall remain nameless but drives a sapphire blue '71 TR6 asked me about the flooring shown in my pic. I purchased a nice, roll-out mat, approx 7.5' x 17' in a diamond pattern, resistant to just about anything. A second one of these would cover most of the rest of the "working area" of my 16' x 24' garage. I paid about $159 at Costco but I hear it varies by location. It's called G-Floor. One caution is that I had to put plywood squares under my jack stands as it appeared the metal feet were starting to cut through the mat. Otherwise, pretty tough stuff and gas, oil, carb cleaner and gear oil all wipe up with absolutely no sign of stains. here's the site www.bltllc.com and a pic of their display from their site. Cheers, Bob

| Bob - Thanks for the tip... I wish I used that stuff instead of the epoxy. The fumes were brutal and when it gets wet it's like an ice rink... I may just cover the floor instead of re-working the two areas that are peeling. Either way I will wait until my TR is running again. My goal date is Labor Day weekend of this year... |
