Triumph TR6 - Front suspension

Good day

Nearly that time to put the project into winter hibernation.

Just tried to finish bushing the right side front axle, had the machine shop pop out the bolt between the lower wishbone and trunnion on the vertical link, and also remove the trunnion so that I could replace the seal....horrors the screw thread to the trunnion was badly coroded about 2ins from the end with only about 3/4 inch of thread left....so I guess I'm on the prowl for replacement vertical links....unless anyone knows of a repair solution.

Not long until the warmer weather

Rob
Thanks for the info

Obsolete Automotive have used ones (staight & threads ok) for $175 Cdn a pair. I have also been offered complete assembly (brakes, springs, rotors, etc) at $80 each. So Iam in still pondering which way to go.

Obsolete Auto is in Point Edward On. they can be reached at 1800 265 7437 or 1 519 337 3232 (ask for Jeff) www.obsoleteauto.com and sign up for free delivery of their sports car chronicle good magazine with great tips.

Les, I've had my 6 now since '90 and Obsolete is one of the first suppliers I bought parts from. I have a small binder full of various repair articals (along with 2 repair manuals), many of them cut out of The Sports Car Chronical. Your right, usefull and easy to read.
