Triumph TR6 - Car Hoist
Does anyone know where I can source a hoist/lift for my garage ..... I remember seeing one designed like a pair of scissors, drive the car on and lift it up but can't remember where I saw it. Any ideas would be helpful. I only need it to go maybe three feet high, it's a little easier to get under and less strain to bend over when it's up a bit.

I saw an ad for one at $1600 US.

Here's one source I grabbed from the net. Have no personal experience with these folks but I do see scissor style jacks. Ken http://www.americanautomotiveequipment.com/?Search=car+lift&Click=2

Then there's that teeter-totter like contraption that can be built. 2 wide angle V's that you drive on and when it goes over the balance point, Voila. Not up 3 feet, but better. And looks pretty easy to make.

IMHO the scissors mechanism looks like it would be in the way. Check this out. http://www.kwicklift.com/
