| Jeff, this one of the worst jobs to do on our cars. There is two nuts welded on to the bumper that the two main studs screw into, and a lock nuts on those studs However, the bumper nuts quite often break their welds and now you have deal with both ends. Jack up the back, remove the back wheels, spray everthing with penitrating spray. For the inside lock nut you will need a 3/8ths drive ratchet, 8" - 12" extention, a U-joint extention and I think a 9/16 or 1/2 socket. You have to reach down to the nut that is buried deep in the bumber support. If the welded nut has broke free from the bumber then you will also have to hold that nut from underneath with a an open ended wrench. You will hate the designer by the time it comes off. Good luck' Chris |
