Triumph TR6 - brake calipers

I'm changing the brake calipers on my '70 tr6 and am concerned that the pdwa switch will move out of center.

Any way to prevent that as I disconnect the calipers?

Also, how do I recenter it if it does move?

Hi Chris

I am sure that someone will come along with more details soon, but my experience with my brake rebuild earlier this year was that the PDWA didn't go off centre. It will go off centre if you build pressure on one circuit and not the other - in this case if you press the pedal with the back brakes hooked up and the fronts disconnected. The only time you might do that is when you do the initial bleed of the lines after reconnecting, and even then it should not go off centre if you bleed carefully. There is no reason for the PDWA to move without building pressure in one circuit, so just removing the calipers won't move it.

If you need to re-centre, you just have to unscrew the switch from the PDWA body and use a light to see which way it is off centre (you could probably just assume it has moved towards the front brake circuit connections) and then use a small screwdriver to pull the groove back to the centre of the switch hole.

Hope that helps
