Triumph TR6 - BMW powered TR6
I am just curious about a TR6 that a fellow was putting a BMW "M" series engine in. Not sure if it was on this BBS, but asking just the same. Thanks.

Hello, It is not an easy task as many things must be strengthened¨: frame, differential, brakes, electrical system for an EFI. But you must have in mind a BMW is an undersquare engine not relation with the British mentality. It was there you saw that: http://forum.britishv8.org/read.php?3,3203 If your are a fan of all possible swap, have a look there: http://www.britishv8.org/Photos-Triumph-Conversions.htm Cheers,

I remember that one, Mike Munson and I set Dave up with the rear brakes. At one point he told us what he was running on the fronts, can't remember if it was the Toyota four pot conversion or something else.

Thats the car. Just curious as to how it was coming along. I did a V-8 conversion to a TR6 once, and it was far too much engine for the chassis. Was in the middle of a EFI supercharged TR6 engine when I got the divorce flu. Still recovering.
