Triumph TR6 - Axle Grease
In Vol 11 of the CD the article on the Axle they say use Molydenised grease on the slides, and offer Duckhams Q5648 & Rocol Molytone 320 as the brand names. What would be equivelent on this side (N.America) of the pond? Les

Les I think Canadian Tire wheel and bearing grease with molybdenum is fine. Don't know the part number but it is in a tub in the auto area.

I do not know what was in there originally, but what I've seen on the two 6's I've had looks to have a much higher molybdenum content then typical chassis grease. Also, given the pain it is to service the splines, I'd use something a bit heavier duty. After a bit of research, I used Honda Moly 60 paste which is designed for splined shafts and is quite popular with the BMW motorcycle folks. 4+ years and happy so far. w
