Triumph TR6 - A little more help.
I'm trying to completely sort out my electrical issues and was wondering if anyone could "shed some light" (lucas pun intended!) I'm using a very good electrical schematic for 74 tr6 but I'm still having some troubles...on the right of the heater box there is a loom with four wires, one green/red, one green/lt blu and two solid green (one of the solid green is hot with ignition. Also next to it is another loom with one green/yellow and one solid green...the car has an overdrive stalk switch (was wondering if they are for that OR for my fan (which still doesn't work) all these wires are free lying with nothing hooked to them and standard lucas bayonet fittings. Also I've a screw bulb socket which looks like it was mounted under the dash and a twist bulb plug light socket that are hot all the time (wires purple and purple white) I've checked the door switches and the are clean and fine and working properly...also along the same lines there is a female plug loose with purple and purple/white and a ground with it plus a courtesy light switch with nothing hooked to it. The joys of British car ownership!

JT, do you have Dan's schematic PDF?

Don, once again I figured it out...DOH! I was using my test light...well that provides a ground! Thats why it looked hot all the time...once I put in a bulb, hooked up the switches, all works well! I even found the wires to the little panel light bar thats just below the four plinth pull switches...still unsure about the green wires or the heater fan...but then again I don't need heat right now! CHEERS! Man do I have some leg room now that that A/C is out of there....I was thinking for a little that the TR6 was no more roomy then my old Midget...It was that darn A/C sucking up all the knee room.

Ya didn't answer the Dan Masters question. The power for the heater is a green wire.
