Triumph TR6 - 1972 Tr-6 fuel tank removal
| Hi Just registered. I bought a TR-6 which ran great for a short period of time. I found the fuel filter fully clogged with dirt not rust. I was wondering how to remove the fuel tank. Thanks for all help!!. Jim |

| Hello, Very simple J. By rear trunk you remove all securing bolts and collar to extract large fuel tube + 2 sender's wire. The tricky parts is underneath to remove small gas outlet (there is not so much place to work). I suggest you have the tank "hot tanked" and try the Moss system(cleaning+etching+sealing compound) to have tank interior coated and good for another thousand years of driving. The only un-funny task is to reinstall sender's gasket... Cheers, Jean G. |
