Triumph TR5 - Tr 250 Running Lean
| The carb have been running since the restoration 2 years ago. This spring the problem became undriveable. I've checked for vaccuum lists, and even changed the intake manifold, both carbs and had the head rebuilt. There is no adjustment in the top of the carb piston as oon the tr6. I have tryed driving the carb jet down got some relief but not enough. My next step is to open up the main jet with a file or reamer. Any other suggestiions. |

| I solved the running lean problem, purchaced a set of number drill and drilled the main jet larger. It's a totally different car now. The jet was oral from peolpe tapping the jet down to try and increaes the mixture. The first size drill as a ream with my fingers, and used a drill for the next size checking the mixture after each drill size. It can be done. |
