Triumph TR3 - zip out back window
Has anyone tried modifing your rear window like the later tr's with a zip down rear window---would like the extra wind flow while the the top is up shielding the 95* sun...Joe

joe, when the great race came through fort smith, ark. in june 2003,steve hedke had zip out rear window in his '57 tr3. he said it worked real good, it let in a lot of air. you can see his tr under misc tr stuff "team scrappy" but it don't show the rear window. payne

I see no reason it couldn't be done, how about a kind of surrey top (meaning just a shade top with a couple of straps to hold it to the back, maybe safari or bikini top is the correct term)? Sides and back could be rolled up, even. A really crude, but maybe more practical thing than side curtains that you have to store, at least when the weather's almost perfect as it is now. I have thought of this, never followed through. I think a fringe around the outside would be a little much for the neighbors, tho. Can't get that "Pretty little surrey with a fringe on the top" song out of my head now...somehow, a pink top on a white car comes to mind. GAG!!
