Triumph TR3 - Zerk compatable oiler
I am new to the TR3 (56) and would like to know if anyone knows a source of zerk compatable oilers to service the trunions with oil rather than grease. Thanks

Pat: There have been some oilers on e-bay (new ones) It looks like an oil can, but it's a pressure feed, so you don't have to worry about what position you're in. They show up periodically and I think they were selling for around $25.00 or so.

If you have a marine supply store near you, check there. Sounds messy to me, though. You can use regular grease. (Like that's not messy...right!)

I'm on my second set of trunnions in 46 years. I replaced them in 1990 after 80,350 miles of hard driving and in the last 15 years have done another 82,000 touring miles with no problems using my old grease gun and regular grease. Next time, I think I'll use red Amsoil grease to see if the rubbers on the boots (Made in Taiwan) won't turn to gooooo !!!. Don Elliott, Original Owner, 1958 TR3A
