Triumph TR3 - TR3 tub on TR4 frame

In Roger Williams "How to Restore a TR2, TR3, TR3A, he refers to the benifits of placing a TR3 tub on a TR4 frame (Rack & pinion, stability etc.
He mentions that the outriggers have to be shortened but implies that all is pretty straightforward.

Has anyone done or considered doing this.

What is the scoop? Currently I have a TR3 frame that isn't so good and a very good TR4 frame.

I am seeking a better TR3 frame but thought I would study this option as well.


Any help or general advice will be greatly appreciated.
