Triumph TR3 - TR3 front cam bearing
| I hope this is not too dumb. I am re-assembling my engine with new piston liner kit (Engine was in good running condition at removal) Upon installing the front engine plate and cam, I proceeded to install the front cam bearing. It went in easy enough but when I tighten down the two bolts it seems to bind the cam. If I tighten semi-snug but not firm, I am able to spin the cam. If I tighten down snug the cam will not turn. Am I to leave it less than snug or do I have a problem to address here? Thanks all! Donnie Ray |

| The bolts must be tight. You need to determine why the cam binds .Most likely that it is not seating square. Could be a burr or foreign materil or maybe the front plate isn't seat properly to the block. Good luck, Bill |
