Triumph TR3 - Tool for removing headlight rim
Hi Guys: I wonder if anyone out there has the tool that came in the tool kit of the post '57 cars for removing the headlight rim.If so I would appreciate knowing the thickness of the material, the width of the tool, the height of the turned up end and if the end is tapered as is a screwdriver. Thanks

Hey Chuck; I do not have the dimensions of the headlamp removal tool and I'm not sure if this is Post TS 25632 http://www.britishtool.com/trikits.htm Well at least it's a picture of it. Good Luck Russ Austin 58 TR3A TS/41804-L

I think I have one in my TR4 toolkit. I'll look later. But at $4.25, it's hardly worth making one..

Chuck - I was going to do the same - to look for mine and give you the measurements, but I was thinking that mine is rather stiff. It must have been made and heat treated to give it the strength it needs to lever off the headlight ring. If you make one out of sheetmetal it may be too soft. When you try to pry off the ring, you may just straighten out the short end. If you still want the dimensions, let me know. Don Elliott, 1958 TR3A

I think this is one. It's next to the wheel wrench in the picture. The seller lists it as a hubcap remover..I don't think so. Anyway, you should be able to reproduce it from the pic if you want to.
