Triumph TR3 - Shift Lever Rubber Boot

I have had two boots in the last few years and they don't seem to last very long before splitting. Anyone got a good source or ideas?

I just put a vinyl shift boot (from ebay) over the torn rubber boot on mine. Tucked it in under the carpet and looks fine except that it totally covers the shifter chrome.
I got tired of the cheap repro boots tearing.

I have a couple of NOS Stanpart shift boots that look good. I don't know how much of their useful life has expired while sitting in my basement, but if you want one, let me know
