Triumph TR3 - seat back

Purchased seat back foam for 1960 tr3a, and it has an additional u-shaped raised portion on one side. Should the raised portion go to the front or back when installed?

Never used foam, but the supplier should be able to tell you.

The foam piece goes on the seat back, along the top and down the sides. I installed mine so that it sits higher than the metal so that I could wrap it over the metal edge to fill the top of the cover. I had to cut a few vees to make it fit cleanly. Dry fit before you glue it.
