Triumph TR3 - Scuttel Vent Lid

Is there an easy way to remove the Scuttel Vent Lid. Or is there only the hard way (not sure if there is even a hard way) Any help please. I guess the second question should be is there and easy way to reinstall a Scuttel Vent Lid.

You need to start with several good doses of penetrating lubricant on the screws.

I'm only going by memory, but I think you can squeeze the ends of the spring together and then un-hook the ends. This will let you lift the vent door more vertical. Then with a hefty but very short screwdriver, undo the retaining screws.
