Triumph TR3 - saw a tr3 on tv
| Was flicking channels last night and came upon an old episode of "Leave it to Beaver". Never was a big fan of the show but stopped to watch Wally have a discussion with his parents about going out that night with his friend (the skinny kid the parents never trusted). Well, parents give the ok and the scene is now outside with two guys pulling into the driveway in a white tr3 (wide mouth). Wally and the friend jump in the the optional "back seat" (actually, they sit on the trim caps and put their feet on the seats)and drive off down the street. Just think how things have changed. No seat belts for the front occupants, sitting on the back trunk, cruising for the night. As a parent of two licensed drivers, I would have been horrified to see my kids drive like that. Oh how times have changed. Mike |
