Triumph TR3 - Radiator Pipe
My connecting pipe between the water pump and lower radiator hose fitting is a little (ok, a lot) worse for the wear. I was not able to locate one through Moss, TRF, etc, and I'm wondering if a straight 1" pipe would work as well as the Triumph part with the slight bend at the bottom. Anyone done this, or are there critical issues that can't be overcome? Many thanks! Bill Stagg 1961 TR3A

Bill-Using a piece of straight pipe, I cut a notch where the inside the bend would be, bent the pipe, and closed the notch with braze. Also, a muffler shop could probably bend the pipe.

Bill: I just bought one from TRF about two weeks ago. Maybe they have more in stock?

Bill - I'd go for a new one. If your old one isn't leaking, sand it down inside and out, paint it with rust resistant paint and use it till you find a new one. Don Elliott, 1958 TR3A
