Triumph TR3 - Pull Cord

I have what I fear is a very simple question, the answer to which eludes me. The car is a TR3B that I am reassembling. How are the pull cords for the door latch installed? One end--the end with no fitting--goes thru the hole in the threaded "bolt" on the slide part of the latch and is tightened with the nut? Where does the other end--with a fitting that appears to go into a slot--go? Any help is appreciated. Thanks. Gary

The other end of the cable is threaded through a hole drilled in the inner door frame. I replaced mine using bicycle brake cables.

Thanks, John. I found the hole and installed the pull cord.
