Triumph TR3 - Master Cylinder Cover Plate Finish

What's the proper color and finish on the rectangular plate covering the access behind the master cylinder assembly? Black? Body color? Wrinkle?

take a look at some of your nice photos from TRA. But not at mine. Everthing on mine is both black and body colour.

All the engine views I can find show the plate in body color, but mine was done up in wrinkle black. Body color could be just a convenience as folks have their bodies repainted, so I'm just checking.

Glad to see I don't have to wrestle with the wrinkle paint can again...
