Triumph TR3 - Lower Outer Sill Finish
| I'm restoring a late TR3A with Comm. No. more than TS 60000. I'm working on the outer sills. I need an answer from someone who really knows the "originality" of a late TR3A. I know that the body finish at the top of the rear quarter panel has a seal with a finished groove about 2" long at the top-most point where it joins the rear scuttle. On my early TR3A this was finished smooth. Should there be a vertical groove between the outer sill (rocker panel) and the rear dog-leg quarter panel down below the corner of the door below the door handle ? Or should this be finished smooth between the outer sill and the quarter panel ? Don Elliott, Restoring TS 81551 L |

| Thank you Payne for your reply. Now I can continue with my project. My own TR3A is an early TR3A with differences compared to the later TR3A's after Comm. No. 60,000.
