Triumph TR3 - License plates

Hi Guys:
In my frantic search for 1958 Ontario license plates I wound up with 2 prs.1 pr. is registered and in place the other pair I obviously don't need.If anyone is interested they are in really good condition and the number is not on the system so they can be used.
If anyone is interested just let me know and I will give you the number so you can check with DOT.They have an office dedicated to year of manufacture plates.
Chuck

Hi Chuck,
I don't need them sorry as my car is a 1960 but could you let me know how to get in touch with the DOT office that deals with this - as I am intersted in finding an old set for my car and wouldn't know how to proceed if I did.
Thanks,
Jim

Hi Jim:
If you go to your local licensing bureau they can give you a "Year of Manufacture(YOM)Plates Program -Information Sheet".If they do not have one you can call 1-800-387-3445.That is the number you call to verify that the number you want to use is available.
I hope this helps.
Chuck
Chuck

Hi Chuck,
Thanks for this. I tried the number and went through eleven layers of menus each with five or six options, none of which dealt with this topic, then got a human, who transferred me to someone else. They then told me to call an 800 # - the same one I had just called...but we got it straightened out. Next step will be to find some 1960 plates in good shape.
If anyone knows of any, please speak up.
Jim
