Triumph TR3 - lettering on dist cap

Hi Don:
At British Car Day you were wondering if the lettering on a dist.cap you had was as original.I just came across my original cap and if you hold it in front of you with the holes for the wires facing forward the words read correctly from left to right.

The distributor cap for the side-screen TR's have the wires coming down out the cap - and then they curve back up to the sparkplugs. The "LUCAS" should be visible at the top reading from left to right.

Sop the one you mention seems to be correct for a TR3A.

The MG cars have the distributor much lower on the engine and the wires come out the top of the dist cap and go directly up to the plugs. The word "LUCAS" also reads from left to right near the bottom of the cap when you look at the cap on the car.

I have two caps from MG's which also fit my TR3A but the "LUCAS" reads backwards and upside down.

I have several people looking in their old stock for the correct one for me. If you have a second one, I'll buy it from you.
