Triumph TR3 - Interchangeable rims

I own a 1960 Tr-3. Two of the steel rims are bent and I’d like to replace. When looking for used rims Are there other Triumph car rims that I can consider or that might take the same tire size (165/80R-15) and lug pattern? mts, mjg

All the TRs used 15" wheels with the same lug pattern, but most TR6s are 5.5" and might be too wide. MGA used the same wheel as TR3s, but they might be as hard to find. It might be possible to straighten your bent rim.
Alloy rims are another possibility, if originality is not an issue.

The TR4s had the same size rims as the TR3s. The big problem is that it didn't take too much a shunt against a curb to bend one of these rims. It's not impossible to find straight rims, but many of the used ones out there will suffer from the same malady as the ones you have. Check out any rims before you buy.

I have TR6 wheels on my TR4A without any clearance problems. I am not sure the TR3 would be the same but worth a try. TR6 wheels don't have the "spikes" to attach the hub caps to the wheel. See if you can borrow one with a tire to trial fit & check clearance
