Triumph TR3 - Increase leg room

I just picked up a TR-3 and being 6'3" 240 lbs. i have a difficult time getting behind the wheel, and then finding a comfortable position. (There is seemingly more room in my brother's Sprite, and definitely more in my Mini, but the TR is more fun and uch better looking!)

Any suggestions? Smaller wheel? Different seat? Move seat tracks? What has worked?

Thanks
Greg Webber

Greg,
Just curious, do you have the adjustable steering column in your 3? Seems like the wheel is closer to you than the fixed wheel even with it adjusted all the way back. I don't know if I could comfortably drive a TR3 with a smaller wheel. I've needed every inch of wheel diameter in every TR I've ever had.
Also, what year is your car? The later ones with serial #'s above TS60000 have a shelf behind the seats that somewhat resticts seat movement back.
Let me know. Regards, Marty
